Refinished Dresser

This is our first post, and since I wanted it to be extra special, I decided to show you my favorite little spot in our house.  We refinished this dresser a few months back.  Until we found it, the poor thing was sitting in a shed, covered in dust and warped with water damage.  One of the legs had been eaten off by termites, and my fantastically talented husband was able to replace it.  We simply gave this piece a good sanding, a few coats of paint, and some new hardware.  It's now home to my growing stash of fabric and craft supplies.
Disclaimer:  Please ignore the hideous carpet.  We are currently living in someone's basement.

Much better, don't you think?

  2. Thanks, Susie! We've had a lot of others suggest that we start a blog, and Marshall's been wanting to for several months. We finally got around to it. You might recognize some of our projects, but we'll be sure to post new stuff, too.

  3. Love the blog so far. I love the dresser and hardware. Did you paint it with Annie Sloan paint, if so what color? Also, where did you get the hardware, it's beautiful. Your desk turned out suberb too... love the red. =)

    1. Hi, Kat! Thank you so much for your kind comments! We have a lot in store for the blog, so stay tuned. :) We painted the desk "Whale" from True Value's EasyCare line, which is a primer + paint combo. We ordered the hardware on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0052WA43O/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00). Thanks again for stopping by!
